Arnica has a well-earned reputation for reducing pain and swelling, Calendula is known as an excellent wound healer while St. John's Wort has been used the world over as an anti-inflammatory and to help ease pain. Castor oil is known to reduce inflammation and pain, and to increase deep absorption of itself and other oils into the body, increasing the medicinal benefits received. Cayenne and Ginger are both warming, and bring healing blood to the inflicted area.
