January 29th at 11am - Meet the Maker Live Free Demo - Community Supported Herbalism - Terrasoul Herbs at Muckabout Gift Gallery, 4759 Hastings St, Burnaby, CA V5C 2K8

Meet the Maker

Join us January 29th from 11am to learn more about Community Supported Herbalism. In a time when we all want to be more healthy we are finding all kinds of new, local sources for better health. Ask questions, drink some tea and learn all about Herbalism. Feel free to invite a friend or two. Terra will be here for several hours to meet customers so come on in and meet her.

Terra's Herbal teas, vinegars and salves have been in our shop since the beginning of Muckabout. Our customers have grown to look forward to these products and new ones we have brought in. Come and learn more about what Terrasoul Herbs has to offer with her Community Supported Herbalism.

Community Supported Herbalism, or CSH, is a concept built upon the community supported agriculture (CSA) model. The CSA model promotes a more sustainable agricultural system by connecting people directly to their farmers. The CSH connects people directly with their herbal remedies and the people who grow and make them. A CSH share provides you and your family with the freshest, most potent, hand-made plant medicines and products (all products are made seasonally and are much fresher than products that have been sitting on shelves for who know how long!)

By participating in the CSH, you will gain exposure to new herbs and ways of using them in a fun, seasonally based model and enjoy a wide variety of medicines and product types for all needs - including tinctures, medicinal tea blends, infused healing oils, salves, luscious body care and more! By supporting local herbalism, you are supporting your own good health and a healthy planet.

Examples of what might go in your box include herbal balms, salves, lotions, tea, herbal vinegars, elixirs, tinctures, and more! If you don't know what some of those things are, don’t worry, you'll learn! Hope to see you on the 29th :)

Nature + Nurture Women’s Day Retreat East Vancouver

Guided by Terra Mentz and Lou Meggiato on 15th November 2020 in East Vancouver British Columbia Canada.

Our women’s retreats are about self care, nurturing, community and connection to ourselves and others. This retreat day will guide you through  meditation, journaling, connection to self, plant love, emotions work, self care and ceremony.
Each one of us holds wonderful unique gifts as individual as we are and a divine light that has the ability to radiate beyond our imagination and yet life and circumstances have often dimmed that light in order for us to “fit in”. Join us as we guide you through rediscovering what makes you shine and let us fill your cup.

Our day includes a plant based lunch with gluten free options.

Expect to laugh, have fun, learn, grow and expand in the safety of a loving female community while meeting new friends.
Self care is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. Let us guide you.

Winter Herbal Workshop - Learn. Create. Give.

Friday, December 7th 2018, 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM PST

The winter season will soon be upon us, which is often a wonderful time for gift giving. Join local folk herbalist Terra Mentz for a casual, informative and fun workshop where participants will learn about the medicinal benefits of various local plants (as well as those hidden at the back of the cupboard!), how our ancestors used them and how to incorporate them into a winter wellness regime.
We will get hands on in blending our own Mulling Spice Mix, Winter Bath Salts and Immune Essential Oil Roll-on. Each participant will make 2 of each product, so they can keep one and give one away if desired. Information packages with medicial benefits, as well as recipes, will be provided to take home and make again!
Complimentary decaf coffee/tea and one sweet treat per person will be provided (more can be purchased through Bluhouse at the event). Please wear comfortable and cozy clothes, bring something to sit on as we will spend some time on the floor, and also bring an item for the ancestral herbal altar if you would like, to soak up the good community herbal magic we will be creating! You'll be bringing it back home with you along with your goodies, to help remind you of your connection to the wisdom of nature and of our time together.
